Bob Grass, Pastor

Bob moved his family to Leland, North Carolina, in February of 2014 to plant Living Word Bible Church.

He and his wife, Rochelle, helped plant Grace Baptist Church in Dacula, Georgia, in 2000. Bob served first as an intern and then as the part-time Minister of Music. He and Rochelle served in a variety of teen and adult ministries for over eight years.

Then God called Bob to serve as the full-time Minister of Music at Harvester Baptist Church in Ellicott City, Maryland. At Harvester Bob enjoyed being able to dedicate more time to planning congregational worship and working with the adult and children’s choirs and other musical groups. But in the midst of music ministry, Bob became increasingly burdened for pastoring, and for expository preaching in particular. Studying for teaching and preaching opportunities became one of his favorite ministry activities. He was ordained at Harvester in 2013.

Bob is passionate about teaching and preaching through the Bible verse by verse and chapter by chapter. His goal is to present Scripture clearly and understandably. (You can listen to examples here.) He desires to make disciples by directing people to Jesus and His Gospel through the Word.

Bob and Rochelle have four children: Monica, Carson, Maycee, and Connor.
